Even better than large fender washers under the pan is to use a 2" wide by whatever length you need by 3/16" thick piece of flat stock steel under the pan floor to anchor the seat floor mount bolts to the pan.  As you'll see, that pan is pretty flimsy and I just didn't think a few washers would really hold in a panic stop or crash.  Adding the flat stock really stiffened things up.  If you can find some 914 seat tracks I would highly recommend them.

I originally installed 914 Porsche seats with the 914 seat tracks which are SUBSTANTIAL and then have a 1-1/2" by 3/16" piece of angle iron holding the front of the seats (it holds up a double toothed, steel piece which engages the recliner) and the flat stock right under the angle iron on the underside of the pan.  That assembly is STIFF.

Rigid is good......

I'm doing about the same with my new seats (non-Porsche, but much like a Cabriolet seat) and using the flat stock in the same way.  Must be habit.....
