I could never justify spending the $ for real ones, and it seemed kind of Wango Tango to be sitting on a sheep's SKIN anyway, so I tried the artificial ones once.

They were crap! Made my ass so hot and sweaty that my cheeks were always full of Butt Butter when I got back from driving.

Not a pleasant experience . . .

Hi George,

Did the new seats arrive? You thought that they might be here by the weekend. I like to see them, and pay you for/pick up your old ones.

When we hook up for the trade off, remind me to tell you about my day at the Porsche Festival Lawn Event, last weekend in Brookline. The terms riff-raff and porscherazzi were thrown about pretty freely.

"Hey there, Porsche Boy, drivin' down street so fancy free."

tc,

it's not looking good for the seat swap for this weekend either. just so you are aware, here is my problem: i live in boston. my car lives in quincy. the seats are living in yarmouth...they should really be living in my car by now. i appreciate your patience. perhaps i will be able to cruise down next week and install them. i'll keep you plugged in.

george
FINALLY !!!!!!

Just kidding : )

That's terrific! If you want I can run up to Quincy and grab them from you give you $ for them there. Obviously not far from here.

(This may turn out to be my seat weekend anyway, I've got to pick up another set for another project, possibly on Friday.)

Whenever it happens, just let me know and I'll hook up with you.

Luck in installing them,

TC
George,

No problem at all. I work at home so I 'm always . . . here.

Sometimes I'm upstairs in the computer room so I may not hear the door, but I'm almost always home. Maybe give a call ahead or email when you're coming by so I can keep a look out.

Or I can come to you, the little panel truck is on the road and a ball to drive so carrying room and mobility are no problem. The Ghia was a bit small, although you saw how much I could pack into it . . . the 356 is still having the running gear updated for autocross.

Luck,

TC

The last time that I had to wait this long for two of ANYTHING, was when my sister announced that she was pregnant with twins . . . : )
George,

I'm sorry to hear about the quality of your new seats. I mean, not 'cause I was scooping you're old ones, but because you were so happy/looking forward to be getting them.

If you decide to take it a bit further and get genuine 914 seats recovered, I have a pair with the rails and adjusters that you can grab up.

Just keep me informed and let me know "yes" or "no" when the time comes. I wish that they were what you were hoping for.

Luck,

TC
Of course no hard feelings, George!?!

It's such a shame that they didn't work out for you, though. You were so ready for them and all. Good to know what kind not to get, anyway. But it's a shame that the knowledge comes at your expense.

I might just order a set like yours from VS, what style are yours called, and what was the color, again?

Luck,

TC
