Have anyone seen their car in person or purchased any of their items? Yes? No? What do you know about S.M.? I've been lurking in forums and saving my money, and I am ready to take a plunge for a new coupe build.  It's either JPS or Seduction Motorsports. I don't think S.M. has ever built a coupe.

I have a JPS Coupe and I am satisfied with the quality of the build and the performance......I got pretty much exactly what I wanted and even more than I expected ... it works.....but

If I was to do it over again and I could find a existing car that met my needs I would buy it.  There are not many coupes available.

South Atlanta Motorsports and Beverly Hills has them on occasion and they charge a premium.

Buying a non production car is not without risks.  It is not like buying a Corvette.

It takes 10 months to a year to have one built and a lot can happen in that amount of time that could put your deposits or your car at risk. Stuff can happen when you are dependent upon a single person or entity to produce.

I am not a lawyer, but whenever I have one built, I worry till I have the car and title in hand.

I always go with the builder who has the most experience and has been in business for a significant amount of time.

I might be just a worry wart...... worry.....worry ....worry... but all is well that ends well and I really enjoy my JPS and expect it will be in my estate.

My youngest grandson already has his eye on it. Hopefully he will have to wait quite awhile.

Seduction sells primarily Spyders.  You need to first decide whether you want a 356 or a 550.  If you decide on a 550, Seduction sells a great car.  It is actually a Vintage Spyder from Greg Leach sold and modified by Seduction.  Beck also builds a nice Spyder.  Obviously if you decide on a 356 there are many vendors.  356 coupes not so much.

On the S.M. website, they advertise turnkey coupes

Thanks, will look him up.  I'm vacationing this summer and I am aiming for a September start date and finish by March 2015. Is 6 months reasonable to complete a new coupe? My fear is the build turning into a nightmare of delays. I've like the S.M. look on their spyders, would like that approach to a coupe. But like previous comments, JPS has the experience and I am assuming more staff?

Sounds promising.  Looking forward to seeing a completed car with pricing.  A coupe with a tube chassis would be awesome.  Greg Leach cars completed in a timely fashion.  Now that really would be something.

haha, so I keep hearing! We work closely with Greg and he has never let us down.

As of current, we finish our Spyders in a 3-4 month time frame.
