Just drove my "new" baby for the first time! Dang but Henry builds a fine car, even 8 years old! A few good wax jobs will have her looking great, with just enough "patina" to look like the real deal. Two reasons I'm typing and not driving more than fast-tracking a few blocks... 1) Previous owner kept his personal plates so I can't get legal until I get the title transferred and 2) It's over 100 degrees outside!

Wife and son say the most fun part is watching me get in and out of the car (6'3" and about 290). I may be wedged in like a NASCAR driver, but I can still shift gears and give it the gas. What else do you need? I'm going to go sit in the garage and see if I can figure out what all the buttons and knobs are for. ;)

Chuck---it needs to be said: 'Welcome to the madness". Congrats on your new ride and let's see some pictures of that bad boy!

You think it's fun now---and it certainly is but wait until you start attending some of the events and meeting some of the knuckleheads (credit to musbjim) that ae members here. To ne, THAT'S the real joy of owning a Speedster.

Plan on driving up to Hot Springs and then over to this year's Tail Of The Dragon, or what it is morphing into in the Smoky Mountains.
We'll caravan over from here 0r "cut accross" and we'll meet somewhere out on I-40. Most all the spouses also attend.
Congrats on the new baby. I know how you feel, I got mine on the road in Jan. '08 and there was no way I could wait till springtime. It looked and ran like crap, and 40 degrees with a nice breeze, but I just had to go.
I have to keep it covered when in the garage because everytime I go out there for a tool or anything, I stop, stare, and forget why I went out there. Welcome to the madness

Chuck,

I will have to admit it took just a moment to figure out SEG....;-)

The only thing better would have been working with Henry direct to create your dream. I take delivery of mine on the 8th if everything goes according to plan.

Shameless plug here:

Griot's Garage (Sponsor of the IM-BBQ) makes mighty fine car care products to keep your baby clean.
