I cannot believe I am doing this, but I am putting my speedster up for sale due to a business opportunity that has come up. As you know,I have invested plenty of time and money since I got it 2+ years ago. The car has a new 1915cc engine, dual 40idf Weber, Empi 40x35 heads (polished) with two angle valve job, 1.25 Scat ratio rocker assembly, Bosch alternator, Mallory distributor part #2354109(mechanical advance), Engle 110 cam, 12.5 lightened flywheel, AS41 case, 5.5 rods,Gene Burg thermometer, additional oil sump, 1700 Kennedy, steering box(1 year old), adjustable front axle beam (1 year old), Kumho 185-65-15 (around 2700 miles on them), Empi front disc brakes (around 500 on them), drum brakes on the back, wide five chrome wheels with CB performance drum covers, HD shocks (2 years old), Grant wooden steering wheel 14.5 diameter (period correct, but NOT original) and a short throw shifter. The tonnaeu cover is in great shape. The car has around 200 miles on newly built engine. As you may know, my engine was build by a local shop last year but the builder did not do a good job, so during the winter I had to take the engine to a new shop (KC's premier vw shop) and had them start all over again.
The car was built in '94 and it is a CMC. The top is OK (does the job) but is not excellent. The gauges work except the odometer (I am guessing I put around 200 miles). The seats (interior) are in great shape for being 13 years old. The driver's side carpet is worn out,but I kept it to use as a template in case I wanted to make my own. The car has been lowered and looks very sporty. The asking price is 14500 or best offer. The price includes 5 bug me video (dvd's),and rear axle nut-flywheel tool.If you have any question, please let me know. This car is featured in the 2007 speedster calendar for December.

Lambros, my SOC brutha!

I know that this has been a painful decision for you. Obviously the return potential on your business opportunity outweighs the luxury of owning a fun toy as the Speedy. Still a hard decision to make.

Call it a hunch, but you're possibly thinking "...if this business deal works out as well as I hope, then I'll be putting a deposit on a 911-powered IM". That would be my thought process as well.

Hope you find the right owner for your pride-and-joy Speedy and best wishes for a prosperous business venture!

Peace - Out!
Gosh, I hate to hear that you're selling that beautiful ride. I hope that your new business works out EXTREMELY well for you and that you come back with something even cooler!

Will you be hanging around for a while? You HAVE to . . .

Oh, and thanks SO much for the neat wheel crest, soon to be horn button. That was sweet of you.

Luck,

TC
