Hi all,

I know S.E.M.A in Las Vegas is a way off in November, but I just grabbed my flights to LA.

Just wondering if any of the Speedster suppliers attend, or if anyone is going?...

I will be in LV around the Monday the 4th. for three days then heading down to Pomona for a NHRA drag race meeting..

au contrare......it's open to anyone willing to cough up the price of admission, just like computer/software shows.  The price might be pretty steep for Joe Shlunk off the street, but you can easily get in.  The team from my street rod friends, O'Brien Truckers, has been going for years.  According to Dennis O'Brien, "it ain't '

ComDex', [he was a computer geek, too] but it's an OK show and I sell a lot of stuff there!'

Thanks I will see if they are there.

I have not been before but ave both read a lot and heard a bit about the show. Described as automotive heaven

I have tickets through our race car supplier group here in Australia.

Yes, so looking forward to it. As I am heading over with race car enthusiast we have Pomona and drag race events and a shop tour for parts on the list of things to do....

cheers

I'm an ex-computer guy and used to do the ComDex show in Vegas until it got SO big  they couldn't deal with it any more (like, 1.5 million people going to it in one week, and bringing in 2,000 buses to handle the traffic). My best memory of any of the ComDex shows was when Dennis O'Brien (yes, he's now the O'Brien Truckers guy) won enough in the casino to get a bunch of us onto the roller coaster thingie on the "Stratos Sphere", way up above Las Vegas.  If we had not all been drunk, we would NEVER have gotten on that thing.  Did you know that it's, like, 1,000 feet up in the air??  I still can't believe I (a.) did it and (b.) survived.   But that's 'Vegas!
