Sending Unit Cover/Cap

Also, I'm looking for rubber grommets are brushes to better hide where the hood hinges come through the firewall? Any ideas where I can get these?

I have never seen a "cover" for the fuel tank sending unit, 311 919 051

We just put the frunk compartment carpet it over it and call it a day.

For the hinge openings in the frunk, some people use a piece of vinyl baseboard trim material or a piece of black rubber stair tread cut to size.

But if you want to use brushes then a door bottom sweep should do the trick:

Just cut four pieces to fit the opening.

There is a round dome cover for the early Beetle mechanical senders, it will cover the newer wire sender plate but you'll have to silicone it in place .

I used the one Alan shows above. I had it chromed.  I hold it in place with double-stick foam tape.  I think silicone would make it more difficult to remove if needed.

I cut a groove in the center rubber strip to conceal the wires.
