Hi Alan
Do you still have the bumpers? If so, do they come with brackets or deco strips? I am taking delivery tomorrow on a rolling tub that I think is a CMC of unknown age. It pretty much needs everything so I am on the prowl for parts.
Thanks,
-Karl

Alan,
I'll take the bumpers. I'll just have to figure out the brackets. What's your price on the tail lights? Email me at k_ruiter@yahoo.com for details.
Thanks,
Karl

Karl - Can send you picture and drawing of the brackets if ya can't find them. They are very simple welded angle iron. I think I still have them from tracing for another SO. Finding the fiberglass blades so reasonable is National Treasure! The over-riders pop up here too and the deco strip is inexpensive.
Wolfgang, that would be great! I suspect that I will need to fabricate the support (inside the car) that the bracket attaches to as well. Hopefully I will know for sure tomorrow as I should be taking delivery on the car tonight. I am in Hawaii, though so you never know. In any case what I really need is probably dimensions: How far out from the body of the car should the bumpers be mounted? How high up? One of the CMC build manuals on line here shows the rear brackes should be 13.5" out from the centerline of the car, which seems a little narrow, but I'll take a look at it. Some of these questions may be anwered when I get the car. I think the body may have had holes for things like this that were filled in by somebody later on. Where that is true I should be able to restore the origonal holes.
Yeah here's links to the two pieces - if bumpers were mounted at one time hopefully the support brackets are still bolted to the chassis frame. The bumper bracket just hold the flimsy bumper on it could be made stronger to give a little parking lot protection - especially in front where a little more weight would be welcome. Tracings of front ones should be easy since I've not mounted them yet. I recall someone here had powder coated one advertised for sale sometime ago.
