The Serengeti Sand Speedster is just about ready to find a new home. I took her for a cruise on Christmas, but my GoPro didn't record so, damn, I had to do it all over again today! ;-)
Here are a few pictures and the video. WHAT a neat car!

This car only has a little over 2500 miles on it. It was originally bought to be used at some sort of audio system trade shows. It has an awesome Alpine sound system with tweeters up under the dash in addition to the door speakers. It also has an amplifier up under the dash and preamps for each speaker. It has an XM radio antenna, and jacks between the seats to plug in MP3 players, iPods etc,. It doesn't have a radio, but it's totally wired and ready for the new owner to just mount one and plug it in, if they want one.
It has a 1776 engine with CB Performance 044 heads, balanced crank, a really nice custom 4 into one header and Magnaflow muffler with oval exhaust tip. Freeway flyer transmission.
The original owner was 6'5" and modified the back seat area somehow to allow the seat to go back further than usual. I'm almost 6'1" and I had to move the seat up!
The fog lights are mounted in the front bumper and I think they look very cool.
Carl.
The Blue Speedster was a 1600CC and still very quick, but the Serengeti Sand Speedster is a 1776CC.

By the way, did anyone see a guy with a big SEG driving north on the 41 or the 152 or the 101 today? If you did, that is the new owner of the Serengeti Sand Speedster! Yes, it's been sold before it ever even made it to eBay.

The new owner is a long time SOC lurker who lives in the San Francisco bay area. A very nice guy and I think we can look forward to hearing more from him on SOC and hopefully even seeing him at our Pismo meet this year.

It's all mine! I'll be here a lot for a while, even more than usual. Guess I need to change my info a bit. I am already suffdering from Upgrade-itis. The powertrain is perfect for me to start with, runs hard on the freeway. Gonna tune out some osund a little bit hopefilly, switch the amber fogs to clear driving lights (anyone know what sits on my front bumber so I can get a similar housing?), got a few tiny pieces of plastic to replace for my mental health (what's left of it) etc.. Troy, a few more questions coming your way tomorrow. Thanks in advance. BTW I got waved at, thumbs up on the freeway, gas station conversations etc.. It is odd and amazing the interest people have. As much as I wanted to get around to a new build the options on the one would have set me back a bundle, and in some wierd way I'm glad someone else put the first few rock chips on it. Nice to have that out of the way.
Ahhh Steve. Glad to see you step out of the shadows. I warned you about all the attention you were going to get didn't I.

Steve and I met in the bank parking lot for a test drive, and no soon did he show up than a car with a couple of guys pulled up and started asking questions and making comments about how nice it was. Then as we drove back in after the drive another guy made a comment about the color. Steve keep an eye on your rear view mirror and you will see people taking pictures with their cell phones.

I may not be available to answer your questions on Friday morning, because I will be on my way to pick-up my next project. :-)
Jim.
Actually, I've done that for all of the cars, but I also do it myself, so I can remember each of them and who they went to. Here is the list in order:
