I don't post much but I just have to share some pix of my 2110cc engine rebuild. I bent a pushrod about a month ago (at 800 miles) and I had to have the engine pulled and decided this would be a good time to "update" a few things. I am fired up to get it back on the road and show it off. Balanced, blueprinted, forged crank, Carrelli rods, dual Webers, Magnaflow exhaust, jet doctors, electronic ignition, ported heads, larger oil cooler, deep sump with oil filter, high perf pistons and rings, balanced fan, etc, etc, and LOTS of CHROME.....BTW I really like the wood touch where the alternator mounts to the doghouse. Am I going overboard?

Justin,

What hoses? I am having all the external fuel and oil lines changed from rubber to stainless steel braided lines but they're not on the engine yet. The work is being done by a guy here in Oklahoma City that's been working on air cooled engines for more than 30 years. Knows his stuff but you have to be "patient" because he works on his own time. I should have the car and engine back next week and with our weather cool down here in OKC, ready to do some cruising so let's figure a way to hook up and do some fall cruising.
