First also make sure the shift plate is installed correctly, then setting the shifter in the centered neutral position and after you secure the two 13mm head bolts, back them off a bit 1.5 turns or so) so as to be able to move just the stock shifter place (under shifter) with a large screwdriver forward - tighten (the shifter plate has elongated holes for this) and check for shifting function ....if still an issue, then aft a bit resecuring the two bolts and rechecking for all four and reverse shifter postions....If all this doesn't do the trick, then try putting it in first gear tightening the bolts and move the shifter to see if you have all the other positions.
