Hey guys, hopefully you can help me.

My spyder has 4,000km on the clock and is a little over a year old. When driving I sometimes have a hard time shifting the car from other gears back into first at a dead stop (at the light). Also, when I put the car in reverse there is some grinding.
The clutch only disengages when the pedal is fully depressed and even still I don't think it is fully disengaging.

Any ideas for a fix to this? Can I adjust the throwout/ clutch myself? What do you think is causing the problem?

Thanks for the help.

Regards,

Scott

Scott.....This does sound like your clutch is dragging.....As I do not know what "Brand" your Spyder is, I will assume it is a Beck....

Under the spare tire, on the passenger side of the trans mission, you will find your clutch cable....There should be a Wing Nut on a threaded end attached to a bell crank assembley.....Try turning the wing nut clock wise as you view the end of the cable...Make only two (2) turns and then test the results....Also check visualy the visible length of the cable for damage.....Any broken strands of wire indicates a problem, and a new cable will be required to properly repair the car....

Hope this helps....
