Shipping A Speedster

Ok, I found a VS, it

Use the search utility and you'll find lots of info. That subject has been beaten to death here; you'll be sure to find many suggestions.

Hey Guys, I got a quote to ship this VS from Las Vegas to Dallas @ $1900... Seems a little steep. It was an enclosed trailer and only had two cars in it at a time so I am sure it would be safe... but 2 grand. Anybody in the Las Vegas area know of any car transporters they trust for less? I really want this car!

Once again I will offer my driving skills, this time to Jamie, I will drive your new VS to Dallas from Vegas for half what the Carrier boys want to ship it....I will require the money up front due to having to spend a few days IN Vegas in preperation for the trip.....

Jamie, keep looking; I paid $2,245.00 last year to get my VS shipped from the shop to here (that's California to Puerto Rico) via enclosed carrier. It had to travel all the way to Jacksonville Florida and was then put on a barge to get here. The quote you got seems pretty steep.

Jamie, I just reciently shipped a 02 Vintage from Kentucky to California....the cost was $1800 in an inclosed trailer. The transport company was VIP Auto Transport co. On time...nice people...easy to work with. They only transport inclosed....You can ship cheaper on a open transport hauler. The figure you got seems to be a little out of whack!....Check around....Call Vintage Speedster, JPS and Beck and see who they use....Those will be companies you can probably trust. Be careful sometime transporters will tell you whatever you want to hear just to get you to commit.....then you end up getting your car a month or two later. Good LUCK!

I just shipped my car from the the pacific NW to Central IL for $1650. It took 4 days in an enclosed trailer. Horseless Carriage- give 'em a call.

Just wanted to say thanks to all that gave comments on getting a Speedster and just enjoying it for what it is... fun. That's exactly what I plan on doing.

I have purchased a blue/tan Vintage and it is being shipped from Vegas via VIP shipping. Shipping was $1355 door to door enclosed.

That sounds like a great idea! I would love to see an IM. That's what I really wanted, but thought I would start small and work my way up. I am sure that it will just make me jealous to see your cars... but come on down!
