Any Shock recommendations for CMC? Think mine are getting tired.

KYB GR-2s.... Normal duty gas shock that won't rattle your teeth....
Some people have found the GR-2's too hard on the front, and been happier with regular oil filled shocks. Everybody seems to love the GR-2's on the back, though.
Regular VW oil filled shocks. Gas shocks, especially if you have a lowered car, might be too stiff. If you are lowered in the front, as suggested in the CMC build manual by cutting and re-welding the front axle beam, you may want to consider shortened shocks so there is still some travel in your front end. Travel I think is around 9 1/2 to 13 - 14 inches.
+1 on KYB GR-2. They don't ride too stiff for me. I did cut off the dust covers, and cut some off the rubber bump stop inside, and then weld the dust covers back on. That restored the travel on my lowered beam. Before I modified them, they were too stiff as the bump stops were hitting often. My car isn't lowered enough for lowered shocks, they were too short.
I also like my GR-2s. They don't seem any stiffer than the original shocks and offer better control. Now if you had said KYB GasAdjusts I would agree that they are too much for our cars.
Koni-well worth it, then next would I suggest bilsten
kyb std shock is stock replacement. The gas shocks work good but a very stiff ride.
it really depends on how you drive your car and how often.
I'll let them go for 30.00 shipped.
