Short stall in 1st gear

I remember reading a post last year about someone's speedster stalling in 1st, mine seems to be doing that now as well, its a short stall, more like a hiccup, only happens in 1st, just as I begin to accelerate, keeping the pedal down burns past it, as well as releasing the pedal and re-applying pressure. it is not a real problem but I was wondering if the post could be reposted so I can learn more...

1955 with dual Webers

It does not happen when I conciously push the pedal in a continuous motion prior to shifting into second. It is only when I am moving easily into an accelerate from stop. It starts out fine, quick stalls, I give er more gas and she hits it again. Happens only in 1st.

This just after a major engine/carb retuning - although I did not take a look at the jets
