I'm okay with Theron's original idea, except for the slogan "Find me at the".
I like the country of origin oval sticker - a throwback, sort of like our cars.

I like that idea but I think that multi-colored stickers are a lot more expensive. I'd be happy with Theron's suggestion too.
I think Rich made a monochrome version of the badge that looked pretty good, too, so his design might translate well into a black and white sticker.
But in Theron's design, SOC reads clearly from a distance - which may be the main idea of displaying a sticker.
The stickers—who are they meant to amuse? Who are they meant to reach?
Answer these questions and the design parameters are obvious: if it's for those who are already here, then words like "madness" and "fiendly" and all kinds of shadow car designs are perfectly right.
If the stickers are meant to attract new people to the site, then Theron has the right idea. Less is more, bigger print, simple graphics, no clutter.
You're being too logical, and spoiling all the fun...
Wow!! I like the sticker idea, and the one T^heron has suggested looks pretty good to me. Plain, simple and easy to read/understand from a distance -- all key feay=tures, I'd imagine. And I am totally un-offended by the "madness" (WTTM) calling. At this point. it's part of the lore of the SOC.
You are not going to get anything like an apology or explanation from Theron re: SAS ads, although I see no harm in his doing so. But he has his methods and reasons, and so go re-read Jim Kelly's recent post above, and figure that Jim has it about summed up. Shall we move on??
And in that vein, I remind the faithful (and the not so faithful too) that this thread is about raising awareness of the need to support this site with donations. Doing so offers a vote of confidence to The Management and represents an endorsement of the dropping of SAS ads by offering to replace the meager income they generated. If everyone posting here put a little money where their mouths are, we'd be there, and then some. Just sayin' . . .
