I entered the event last year, it was a lot fun some real interesting cars. Dale was there in his IM Dale are you going this year? I will most likely go Sat. some time around 10;30 to 12:00. Maybe it would be a good place to gather look at the cars have some lunch and go for a drive! Paul and Rick you should enter, your cars would do real well there !

It's sponsored by NCKCC. Sat & Sun 10am-4pm. Further info available at their website nckcc.com. I met some of these guys at the Hot August Niles show couple weeks back. Havent explored if you can do 1 day registration/show but assume it is possible. I was planning to go Sunday, and will bring my VS which I just got last Saturday. Looking fwd to meeting some of the group!

I talked to Vern about doing one day versus two. His response was you can do it if you have to, but the show is two days and since it is a participant vote style show, your chances of winning are better since some people may vote on Saturday or Sunday.

I plan on attending with my '78 IM. Look forward to meeting some other Speed(ster) freaks.

It is a fun show. Down by the bay, a mexican eatery next door, old music, and not much shade! I will not make it this year, I am working both Sat and Sun and I prefer to save vacation days for the great tours. Everyone have fun, sounds like several speedster guys will be there.
Hey Dale,
Glad to have met ya'. I took a ton of pictures and('Thankfully' sayeth Theron) will be sorting through the three disks to show some of the interesting cars that were there. I think I got you alongside of your speedster. If you want, email me offline and I'll forward a copy directly for your memoirzzz.

Dick, I got a nice shot of your car alongside that 'other' German car. Same offer.

Overall the weather was great and I got an education and eyefull of replica and hand-built carzzz! Man-O-Man there were some beauties!
No Spyders, no widebody speedsters though, odd.

Sans booth, bikini-clad girls or even flyers, John Steele of JPS got the manufacturer's trophy based on the quality build of two of his customer cars that were there...

Really a nice group of people, friendly, easy to approach, genuinely interested in each other's cars even if the various entries were way different than their own individual cars, tastes and favorites.

Pictures to follow.

The show was better than I expected. The NCKCC is made up of really nice people that have a true passion for their event and the hobby. The thing that made this show better than some was the quality of people. Everyone seemed genuine and easy to talk to.

Next year, we should plan on outnumbering the Cobra Crowd. Maybe set up an 1/8 mile strip and see how those little V8's compare. Maybe Karl with his Nitrous will be able to get the power down to the ground and turn some low numbers.

Pleasure meeting and talking to all of you.

L8r,
