I'm hoping that I can make a decision, soon on this. I ordered a square weave carpet kit from VMC, and I have options on the binding. The included binding is a brown, that looks identical to the baseball brown in color, which is what I am doing on the rest of the interior. There is an upgrade option to do a vinyl binding for an upcharge. I do like the look of the vinyl option, and I have seen pictures of it in cars. However, they do not have a photos, of the standard, fabric binding completed. I was hoping to see if anyone had the fabric option in their car, so I can see both options available. The vinyl is a $350 upgrade, which is a chunk of change, when your adding it to the high cost of the square weave. attached is a picture of my options. Thanks everyone!

I went with the fabric binding on my carpet kit. The fabric looks much better than the vinyl binding in my opinion. This is the best picture that I have on my computer at work, I can try to get a close-up later.

I did leather matching my seats, I like them a lot, ultimately it works whatever you do.
But what if I have hardwood floors?
Wait for it...
That's what she said!
It's too late now, but it's worth noting anyhow: I had the choice of leather or fabric bindings back when I ordered my coach. I wanted fabric, because I thought it looked less "precious" and more purposeful.
It did, and it does... right until the point when the sun bleached all the black bindings a kind of mauve/tan. It got bad enough that a few years ago, I spent about 2 solid evenings of quality time with a sharpie marker making it all black again.
Most fabric binding is not very color fast. Keep it in mind.
Good point @Stan Galat. I may look into some sort of fabric UV protection, on a regular basis. Or never put the top down. 🤪
It happens with coco mats too
