Same system as Bob Millers beautiful Speedster except the system is powdercoated black and the exhaust exits center rear valance edge with a polished SS oval tip. I believe there is a nice shot of the IM system on Bill Steeles super nice Roadster in his file showing a corner rear exit. This is the system IM uses on most installations.

The IM systems are easy to remove for valve lash adjustment: Unhook the exhaust from the header (5 bolts), loosen the bottom rear transaxle bolt 1 turn (the exhaust system is hinged on this bolt). Lower the rear of the system to the ground (front remains on hinge). Adjust valves, lift system into place, install 5 bolts, tighten front pivot bolt. It adds maybe 5 minutes to a valve adj.

One shot below shows Scott Sloan's beautiful IM Speedster on the road with a great looking system

Ricardo and fellow speedster owners,
Yeah, I've been busy with work and family! I currently take care of my parents who both are recovering from major surgeries and my wife has been going through therapy after a big scare! My girls and I have been trying to deal with it and we are pulling along.

My cars are the only hobby I have and when I am feeling the "downs" I get into the garage and tinker. All of my neighbors are "wusses" and do not tinker or do any "garage work" and so I do not have many to share my hobby with except the web and some locals who need help with their sandrails, buses or bugs. I am currently slowly working on two Type 4 motors for both of my cars, speedy will get a 2056-cc with a homemade Cali conversion and the 912 a large-bore stroker with either a DTM or 912E tin, which I have both already. My 911 fan cooled 2110-cc runs superbly well and strong but I always remember the 914 and I loved the way it drove due to the engine characteristics and so I want to go to the Type 4. Winter, an unheated small garage, and the short days are making it tough to do anything. I will try to log on more often and share some information.

BTW, my oldest girl (7 yr) is Alexandra Karina and my youngest (5 yr) is Andrea Zazil. Andrea has claimed "Speedy" while Alex wants "Dayla" (my red 1965 912). They could have them provided that they get me a replacement! LOL

My long gone 84 IM's exhaust system. Note that the heater boxes are custom made 1 5/8" units, so I could get the full potential out of my 2110 and also get some heat.
Just after I took this picture I had a 3 litre Gene Berg sump installed and had the entire exhaust system (except the muffler) hot coated.
