Somewhere on this site it was said that the JPS and VS bodies will experience shrinking in the doors/bodies,etc. Is there truth to this?
Anyone with truelife experience on this? What about the other makers??

Its not like fiberglass shrinks enough to distort and twist - it sometimes gets minor waves and slight distortions. Have near 20 year old CMC and, yeah, there are imperfections that I see but nothing that a good block sanding and repaint couldn't cover and make show quality.

I don't think they shrink. I know a lot of companies will tell you they do, just so you can spend a lot of money and buy a "superior" product.
So when you mean shrinking you are referring to paint shrinkage. I had visions of the classic horror movie "The Incredable Shrinking Man".

All the makers bodies shrink except the IM's because they are perfect, and would never allow one of their bodies to shrink.....
So reach deep into that pocket of yours and pull out the 45-50 large so all the rest of us can look on with envy.....

Man you really are a noob. Most everyone reading this post, already read the other post.
Just go ask any body guy if fiberglass shrinks, then when you get your answer....evaluate closely people who would lead you to believe otherwise.
You are also making a big deal of this, so if it is a big deal to you, then buy one that has already had a lot of shrinking take place and makes the paint all wavy, and just have it redone.
Or buy an IM that, goes to the trouble of building there own bodies and can't just blame it on someone else. The do go to the effort of temperature curing their bodies, so it does make a difference, but yea, you have to be willing to pay for that difference.
Or believe that several guys are just making up the fact that fiberglass shrinks.....jeez.

Stupid wavy chopper-gun CMC bodies have loads of wrinkles. Mine used to look like someone's grandmother. Now, it looks like someone's grandmother visited an LA plastic surgeon.
