Side curtain post holders

I used metal ferrules (look like small tubular bushings) that were just large enough to fit around the post.  I drilled the appropriate size holes in the wooden door tops I made and used a dab of Gorilla Glue to hold the parts in.  I then topped them off with aluminum pieces from Carey for looks.

What about cutting an appropriate length of rod and a small pipe strap (?)  I think that's what you'd call it. They're used to hold wire or pipe up against a stud. You could epoxy the rod to the strap and judging from the photo rivet that to wherever it goes on the curtain. I wouldn't do it for long term but it might get you by for tonight.

At a decent auto parts store (which also has truck brake parts), get a couple of short, flared brake lines of the right ID (5/16" or 8mm?)  Cut off the ends to the proper length and insert into the door top cushions with the flares on top.

A few years ago I ran off a few dozen custom aluminum furrules if anyone has one I can borrow I would like to do another run.
