My understanding that most did, but the Carrera's did not.

I chose to build without. Chrome trim doesn't stand out that well on a silver car & I just figured it would be something to pick wax out of.

Also, much easier to add than delete.

My car is 7 years old and haven't once considered adding the trim. Your mileage may vary.....

Stan, just curious why?

Agreed.

I requested no side trim on my build; but, it's all personal preference.

It's not a big regret, but the look I ended up with is outlaw-lite. I think no upper side trim would have fit the bill a bit better. As Tom B. said, it can always be added- but once it's on, it's not coming off.

I think this post identifies the inherent issue with the Speedster; it looks great with or without the chrome bits.

It's almost as if one needs at least two Speedsters:

1. Outlaw style, no bumpers, no chrome, no wheel covers for those days when you feel bad#ss and want to carve the canyons solo,

2. Chromed out, bumper guards, overriders, luggage rack, baby moons; for cruising the town with the mrs. or the kid.

I'd love to have at least two, plus a Spyder!
