Thursday 6/24 at about 9:30AM on Canoga Avenue just south of Victory Blvd in Woodland Hills,(SFV) CA, I caught up with a pretty young lady driving a silver flared Speedster I think it had dark tan upholstery.

I asked her what she was running in it. I think she couldn't figure what I meant (Nitro, Naptha, Methane, Pepsi may have come to mind). I explained I wanted to know how many cc's her engine was. She replied "it's a VW", oh well. The light changed and we were off.

I didn't get a chance to tell her to visit this nutty group on the web and get to know the Speedster fenatics. If anybody in the area (like Corky, John Leader, etc.) Sees her it might be nice to see if she's a member and get her to come on outings. It would certainly add someting to the scenery.

She was blondish with some freckels, I think.

In Kit Cars or Kit Cars Magazine.. or one of those rags a couple (several?) years ago, there was a blonde, as you described her, who had a silver flared custom built for her. It was the feature car... and a big write up on the builder.. it's been so long ago I don't recall the builder... whether it was Ryan, Vintage, or JPS. Now memory is a tricky thing, but it seemed like she was a cheerleader/dancer for maybe the Rams... dating this further. Maybe not. But I do recall she was a looker and so was the car.

If it isn't lost, I'll look under a bench where I have some old issues in magazine racks.... maybe it, her name, and the builder will be found!

The main reason I sold my 84 IM is that the car was so damn good looking and I'm so damn good looking that beautiful women would often jump into the passenger seat of my car at stoplights. I just got sick and tired of that, and my wife got sick and tired of young, beautiful women sitting on her lap.

Manto you are right I will adjust my questioning, asking only questions that have obvious answers.

Dale I appreciated you input and you allusions. The dueling Banjos thing(s) has burned a permanent "visual" into my alleged mind. Maybe we can get a picture like that for theron's calendar?

Jim Ward, I think you may be talking about the car JPS built as a graduation gift for a young lady. As I recall it was her reward from Mom & Dad for earning a certain grade point average. She was a cheerleader and may have been a Laker Girl (can't remember whether it was High School or college graduation). That caar was that pearly white color. About a year ago I saw the car parked on the street in Encino near Balboa Park, at different times, for a couple of months. Then it was no longer there. It had seen much better days and really needed a redo.

This was a different car and a different girl, I think.
