Significant clicking noise as I let the clutch out | 356 Speedster, 550 Spyder, Replica, Automotive Community

This sound is coming from the tunnel between the shifter and the front fire-wall.

I'm trying to get back in the saddle after some personal health issues and I would be very pleased to hear from one of youse guys that's been there & knows a simple fix.

I bet the clutch pedal cable fork is wearing and has a worn spot on it like image attached - or needs some grease bad. You can replace that part or the entire pedal cluster.

Well Wolfgang........ You called it!

Dug into the thing, gobbed the grease on it. That quieted it down some but I will be replacing the hook ASAP.
