Does anyone else have completely chirp-free tires? I can slide through a turn sideways without making a sound--and I am fairly familiar with what it is supposed to sound like.

It seems to me that the higher the milage rating, the less sound you will get out of a tire in drift. I don't know, but if they grip a little less, they give a little more without making as much squeal.
Stephan - you need to stop putting ArmorAll on your tire-tread! LOL
What; I like the tread to be shiny too!
Have you noticed any obnoxious odors during these silent but deadly episodes?

I used to have a Superformance cobra replica with a monster 600HP engine in it. I ran street drag radials that were extremely sticky, but made no noise when they let go of the road. Made things interesting to say the least. So, I don't necessarily think its about the low grip tires making no noise, as these things had my skin stretching one way or the other around corners and in acceleration. The cars talks to you in many other ways though. One guy used to say that he could here his cobra whisper "This time, I am gonna kill you" every time he took it out.
