@WNGD There is no manual release in the Model X trunk!  I climbed in there to sleep when the battery died one time late at night.  The bucket seats are too high to climb forward and release the front lock manually.  I was stuck there, trapped in my own car.  What a horrible design, and I felt stupid.  Anyway, I contorted myself and compressed my ribs to get through to the front.  Nasty bruises.  I am lucky I worked out that week and skipped the cheesecake.

There is no Tesla car in my future….

My nephew-in-law (MIT engineer and one of the finest humans I know) worked for Apple for 5 years and got tired of going to China all the time. He went to work for Mr. Musk's automobile company.

He quit after a very short while and went back to Apple after negotiating less travel. He said he thought the Tesla work environment was toxic.

That was enough for me, outside of the Tesla's rate of spontaneous combustion compared to the much less flashy Nissan LEAF.
