Meanwhile, in Muskow: https://www.reuters.com/invest...sla-batteries-range/
Musk is the modern PT Barnum, and naive suckers are lining up to buy his bullshit.
Color me shocked that green energy companies are lying to the consumer.
Ont. woman, child become locked in Tesla after battery dies

Seems like a bit of click bait considering there's a manual door opening release but there you go.

Bingo ! Let's not forget Elon Musk's SpaceX, he has thousands of satellites under his fingertip control... ..
@WNGD There is no manual release in the Model X trunk! I climbed in there to sleep when the battery died one time late at night. The bucket seats are too high to climb forward and release the front lock manually. I was stuck there, trapped in my own car. What a horrible design, and I felt stupid. Anyway, I contorted myself and compressed my ribs to get through to the front. Nasty bruises. I am lucky I worked out that week and skipped the cheesecake.
There is no Tesla car in my future….

Looks like crustaceans could save the day. And you would have to eat the crab before you use the shells for batteries. Win win.

I dunno, I'd be afraid my crab might burst into flames while I'm eating it 😀
And now, this:
Tesla created secret team to suppress thousands of driving range complaints
My nephew-in-law (MIT engineer and one of the finest humans I know) worked for Apple for 5 years and got tired of going to China all the time. He went to work for Mr. Musk's automobile company.
He quit after a very short while and went back to Apple after negotiating less travel. He said he thought the Tesla work environment was toxic.
That was enough for me, outside of the Tesla's rate of spontaneous combustion compared to the much less flashy Nissan LEAF.
When my daughter left Apple she considered working for Tesla but decided she didn't want to work for Musk. Now she works for a robotics company.
At Apple, she too was making frequent trips to China.
Just my $0.2 - Musk is the worst part of ... everything? But to add some balance, our Model 3 has been near perfect in the 5 years we've had it not that anyone here cares
Elon just again talked about a $24k Tesla EV made in India (vs previously made in China). Past mention said it has a range of 200 miles and was fully autonomous (no pedal or steering wheel).

Autonomous vehicle made in India - fine.
Autonomous vehicle driven in India - not so fine.

It gives me headaches to think about where to begin spec'ing and writing code for an autonomous vehicle in an intersection like that.
Maybe a module called BeepHornAngryFistShake would be a useful starting point.
