I'm considering purchase of a 2007 running a single 44 Deloro carb. What are the pros and cons of running a small stroker motor with a single carb. I'm not looking to set speed records, just want more than my 1600 can deliver.

A 2007cc engine has 90.5mm pistons and a 78mm crank. That's a long stroke engine producing a lot of low end torque. The 44 will work provided it's jetted correctly. If you've heard the engine run and it's a good deal, you'll have no problems. I've seen 2180cc engines running on a single 30PICT carburetor. Tremendous low end torque but it ran out of power at the upper end. The dual throat Weber will be good up to 5,000 RPM's without a problem.
