I am restoring a 356 D and noticed some of the rivets are broke that hold the body to the frame. Anyone know what size they have a large head and look aluminum. Thanks in advance

You could message IM or Henry at Reisner Carrozeria on FB, they are quite large on my IM. I am sure they are out there ...
Why don't you drill one out and measure? You know, with a caliper so it's precise.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was hoping someone knew I can get the width but the length of the leg is just a guess.
The McMaster link that Ray provided will give you suggested length. Drill one out and see how deep the material you are fastening is.
Its been awhile so...
3/16" diameter shank
1/2" or 3/4" (?) length (there was 2 lengths)
5/8" (?) diameter head

Are you talking the "tube" frame or some angle Iron type part of the frame ?
Hope this works. Henry reached out to me and gave me the dimensions. Thanks everyone for your reply’s I will post more pictures of my progress

Glad you got some replies.
Hi Tony, nice to meet you. The pop rivets between the Intermeccanica composit body and the steel chassis are 3/16" diameter. Depending on location two different grip lengths were used. For thicker composit areas ( mostly door jambs) the longer AD610BSLF https://www.blindrivetsupply.c...l-Plain_p_23773.html
for the thiner composit panels (support panels between the body and chassis) the AD64BSLF. https://bylerrivet.com/product...d-pop-rivet-316-dia/
I hope this helps!!
This was Henry’s response if it helps anyone
the website he suggested was out of stock but McMaster-Carr had something close in stock (and is in NJ)
Great. Thanks Tony, that helps. Good luck with your project!
It looks like contact glue and carpet fiber residue - Fiberglass looks fine to me????
Correct carpet fiber residue and glue. The pans are shot and need to be replaced. The more I dig the more I find it will be right and safe when I’m done.
