Living in Fl, I can envision the smell and sound of frying bacon as my bare thighs settle into the seat on a hot summer day.

Hahaha! I suppose leather and vinyl are out as well. I will not likely have that problem here. Maybe ice...condensation, and never bare legs. I can't imagine what that would look like!
In the summer the seat will be trimmed with either a base pad or full pad like the images. In the winter I will make a full pilots pad from an old sheep skin coat.
heres some trimmed bomber seats to show the idea.

Love the wheels and agree that the rear needs to drop a bit. Are you going to paint or leave the gelcoat bare?
Paul: Those beetle seats look great! also nice to see someone else with a Berg T-bar shifter.
SkellyPeg is looking great. Are you getting used to the smiles and waves from other (less fortunate) motorists?
For the first fifteen years I had my Speedster, I had a pair of sheepskin seat covers over Porsche 914 seats. Made them cool in Summer, warm in winter and I loved them (even though they looked "off" to real and replica "purists").
Then, I went to really nice, vinyl seats. Hot in Summer, stiff in winter. But they look too nice to cover up with sheepskin. Still have the covers, though, waiting for when I can't stand it anymore, and hoping that the mice don't get to them!

Fixed the stance. I'm going to paint her Ral7031 when everything is dry fitted. Cheers.

The berg shifters are great. Really great but I'm going with a bug-tech shifter. Apparently as nice to use as Berg but look more where I'm going.
Seats look great mate and I'm never persuaded by a purist argument. What is 'pure' about what I have?? A 68 cut and shut beetle cabriolet with a English kayak-like shell bolted to it.
It's never a Porsche and a never again a beetle. Really it's nothing so can't be pure or right or wrong. Everybody's speedster is right.
if ever I get a 911 again or a b or c coupe I'll be anal in purity, like I am with my Lambretta & 66 Westfalia VW bus. But this is a sodding kit car and the best but is there are no rules.
Those seats look awesome. Look real comfortable too.
Not much in the way of visual changes done but I replaced the master cylinder. It was leaking into the tunnel. Took a while to work out the issue. Swapped the steering coupling and just the ball joint boots to do before MOT.
i did make a hardwood door capping and trial install a door card so I can start setting up my side windows and door opening straps, Check straps and exterior door handles.
The my dog took me for a spin!

I have two dachshunds, but neither has gotten their driver's license yet. He (she?) looks like they enjoy the car.

The name of the car is "SkellyPeg the London Outlaw" so I doubt that Dachshund has his license either. He's most likely an Outlaw himself.
