It's taken a bit longer than it should have, but I finally took delivery of my new JPS Speedster (please leave all JPS related comments on one of the many threads on the topic -- this one is all about me ).

The color is a blue of my own choosing (much lighter than it looks in the pic). I wanted to keep it classic and traditional, with the exception of the JDM Subaru engine which is just about the best thing in the world...

More pics to come, but here's where i'll be sleeping tonight...

Thanks Guys... I've already got a running list of stuff to sort through, most of it is EXTREMELY minor. Admittedly, i'm the opposite of mechanical / handy (one of the reasons i went with the subaru engine) but i'm also hanging out with a buddy of mine who has a '68 beetle and a dune buggy too... he knows his way around and i'm going to put him to work on it.

Teby, i'm down in Orange County (don't judge.. i'm a transplant.)

Pictures are coming soon.. too busy driving today.

Your garage looks like a never used model home

Agree with "need more pics"

HA... I'd definitely buy a model home with a speedster in the garage.. try to throw it in with the deal.

We moved in about a month and a half ago.. there's a side room / workbench area to the right of the speedster that you can sorta see. That's where all the junk is. Anything else int he main part of the garage and we wouldn't be able to get out of our cars

Very nice Devin.  what was the name of the blue you settled on?

Thanks Marty! It actually doesn't have a name. Just a number. We picked it out of a swatch book because we could fine what we had in our head. Bali blue was too dark and the azure blue samples just weren't right (for us). I can get the code though. I need to anyway.

My wife and I call it "speedster blue" when we see other things in the same shade, but based on our location I'm thinking of calling it "Laguna Blue".  Is that already a know color?

I love the close up pics of the script Devin. You have a good eye! I'm in Dana Point BTW.

Great to hear from another owner in OC. If you're ever going cruising, or to any shows or meet-ups, don't hesitate to reach out.

As for the photos, I wish i could take credit. One of my colleagues happens to be a photographer too, so I am lucky that much of my life is captured in such style... You can see more of his work herehere and here.

Can't help it, but it won't be what you expect...

John has always been able to build a stunning car for the right guy. You are that guy. It's beautiful, and I can sense the excitement. That's pretty cool.

Good for you, man! Drive the wheels off it.
