I saw this car at Stoddard's back in June. The story we got was that the builder was an airplane guy. If you look at the supports on the fender flares they are well supported with steel rods (like you might see in wings) Even my friend with me at the event, who is a real P-Car guy liked the job done on the coupe. But the story we got was that the builder of the car is deceased and the guy showing the car was a sort of car jockey who spent lots of his time with P-cars.
You know, I was digging on the idea of a flared coupe in an earlier post, but these look overboard to me... Kinda glued on instead of molded in and too wide. Lines coulda been cleaner. I think the nose stretch is great and has a "Cheetah" look to it. Car would have been a lot cooler if the flares were more subtle and it didn't have such an offroad stance. That said, would it be cool to light up and launch that bad boy at a PCA event, or what!!!
