It's that time of year when I move the IM to off-site storage. Won't see her again for 5 months.

What do you do for varmint proofing?
Keep it in a heated garage tied to my home .. put a few traps around the perimeter of the wall... but I never had an issue so I stopped doing the trap... thing... check for varmint, deposits... along the walls all the time..
Marty, move to CA..365 driving, we dont have weather problems here or any natural disasters:{
My car is stored in a heated commercial space that is monitored. When I used to store at home I would use bounce dryer sheets both in the trunk and interior. If you put something in the exhaust remember to remove it before you start it. Fuel stabilizer in a full tank of gas and more tire pressure to avoid flat spotting. If you garage is humid park on a large plastic painter cloth. Can also hang a bag of damprid from the rear view mirror.

Nope, ours are all man (Gov't) made!
Move to southern ON Canada, still a few more weeks of beautiful driving left
Heck, we already have had our third snow. Wednesday the low was -1F. I'm keeping the speedster at home, we may have a nice enough day to take it out, I might just have to wear a parka and drag out the rabbit lined trappers's hat.
No snow in New England, yet, but had a frost and 28F this morning down here in the Blackstone Valley. Worcester airport, 1,000' higher than us, reported a low of 31F.
Looks like highs in the very low 50's this week. I guess late Autumn is finally here and after a week of rain and really heavy winds I cannot see the grass in my yard - it's totally covered in layers of leaves.
Californiaians will refrain from any weather related conversations so as not to receive death threats.
We started our first cold snap in the Florida Panhandle yesterday after 3 days of incessant rain. Morning in the 30's with very light frost and afternoon high in the mid 60's. Yikes!!!
This is the best time of year, here, with highs around 70 and lows around 50. Too bad it’s so short lived. Two days ago it was mid/upper 80s and seriously humid. I don’t want to see that again for months.

C'mon now....at least your storage facility doesn't have to be FIREPROOF!
I dunno, Paul. In the summer it feels like it’s so hot that the only thing preventing spontaneous combustion is the humidity.
in all seriousness, y’all be careful out there. From this side of the continent it looks pretty bad.
CA is a very large State with varied climate zones. I live at Lake Tahoe. It is not wise to generalize about the weather. We were down to 5F last week. My car is in storage in a heated boat storage facility in NV. My Sailboat however will stay in the Lake all winter. She will be shrink wrapped in the water once the snow starts falling. There is a reason 40M people live here in spite of fires, earthquakes, high taxes and an occasional volcanic eruption (last one was 1911). Most of the State is sunny and warm most of the time.
I was in Lake Tahoe in September it’s Beautiful!!

Yeah, we all Envy the CA weather and roads. In the Midwest we just suck it up & buckle up for long winter's. We dig even deeper into work and family time til Spring time. At least that's what we tell ourselves. In reality, it doesnt really get nice till June. We get a weeks of good weather and then it's freaking hot. Then September rolls around and it's still hot but fall starts later in the month. Everybody gets excited because it's the best time of the year. Then October rolls in and it's hit-or-miss, sometimes awesome and sometimes like this year yours shoveling snow to make a path for trick-or-treaters they are daring enough to go out. Then the Holidays come which IMHO are more enjoyable in the cold weather States. It's all manageable till after new year's and then everyone starts freaking out trying to head south to get away form the artic temps and snow. Yeah. That sums it up pretty good. Our Canadian Brothers have it even worse. Party on Wayne
Yes we do (suck it up and buckle up), but it gets harder and harder to shut up.
Enjoy it, Kalifornia Kids (you're excepted, Noel).
A little snow humour...
