I am going to the Wavecrest Woodie show Sat. at Moonlight Beach and then this Vintage Treffen. Big weekend for car stuff.Last weekend the Ventura show was awesome! I love California!

Rick K asked if I could take a car to the show, and unfortunatly I am busy this weekend. He is hoping to make this an every other year event. There will be some very nice and rare VW's there.

Met up with Will Pierson Sunday morning in Anaheim, SoCal, for the VW Treffen meet. MAN, there were some outrageous VW restorations of very rare models.

I have serious attention deficit at car shows when it comes to retaining model year and coachworks info, so anyone recognizing these models feel free to chime in.

Ernie, Patrick, Vince - I was thinking about you guys as I walked amongst these WAY COOL cars!

I wanted to go, I couldn't wake up/stay up looks like there was some nice air-rides/old scoool next time. Cabanaboy ~ I'd put a surf rack and fishin holder, drive that Schishamacallit into the line up drop some bait put the clicker on and go for a surf!!

Man! Those two 40 something verts scream 356! And that delivery truck....never saw one like it before. Are there any websites set up with more pics? Great pics, Jim.

I heard from a friend that the show was everything it could be and more. Also got word that Jesse James of Monster Garage was hanging with his Split window roll back roof and actually won and walked up to receive it.

Those two verts were actually early 50's verts.

Bill - there were some absolutely beautiful examples of 100-point restoration in those D & S Cabriolets!

As for the delivery truck - when Will and I saw that bad-boy we both instantly thought it would be a very cool beach cruiser, with some longboard (surf) racks and a cover over the cargo bed with a thatched-roof look, very California!

Patrick - I had to leave the show a little early so I missed Jesse James collecting his trophy. Will P was going to hang out a little longer so he may have seen Jesse! I would have definitely stayed longer if I knew Sandra Bullock might have been there with Jesse!
