When turning the crank with that huge 1 1/4" box wrench something went horribly wrong.  It slipped somehow and caught my orbit.  It nearly knocked me out, so I had to sit down for a few minutes.  It bled for a few hours as I completed #3 and #4.  This picture was about 6-7 days later.  I finally went to the doctor, who had CT scans done on my brain and Orbits.  There appears to be a clot or chip, but they do confirm that I have a brain after all.  If you look at the small (now) cut and happen to be a Neurologist you'll see that it hit my SupraOrbital nerve dead on and smashed the crap out of it.  My eye does not hurt at all, but the top of my head feels like I am getting cut towards the back with a dull razor blade.  No biggie, it is only supposed to last 2-6 months, along with the moderate headache 24 hours a day.  That nerve comes out of your eye socket then heads north to serve the outside of your upper head, one per side.  The good news it the valves were out of whack (unlike my skull) and now the car runs much better.  It was easy to do and next time I'll be in a full-face helmet!  -Steve

From the outside you can't even see the damage on my eye any more.  I'll be feeling that nerve damage for months.  I'm actually not clumsy, but this one got away from me somehow.  I bought this car partly so I could tinker.  I had an old beat-down Dodge Colt as my first car, but it had a Weber, Header etc.. and I was always fiddling.  Love this car!

I use a 17mm wrench on the alt pully bolt and start from Number 1 and rotate backwards one half a turn at a time   and adjust valves on 1 first , turn-a- half. do 2.. turn a half do 3, and turn a half and do 4.  You pull the cap off the dizzy to follow the rotor button  as it turns 90% every turn.. Very simple and easy....

Oh and it's a lot  easyer to rotate the crank.. and a heck of a lot safer...
