Hey Cory!

I thought you'd get a kick outa these Soap Box racers. There are quite a few automotive design teams in my neck of the woods. Every year they have a "Soap Box Derby Race" on a downhill stretch of road just a stone's throw from my house.

Each manufacture enters their design team entry for bragging rights.
These cars cost from $50,000 and up (design and production). Race draws a few hundred people each year(mostly engineers and local folk).
Just another excuse for a bar-b-que and beer party!

Anyway, I'd thought you'd appreciate these (maybe some ideas for your next hoopty project).

BTW - the Volvo entry blew everybody's doors off!!

Those are all really cool.
I like the modified Argyle pattern of the Mazda entry's paint and the VW entry reminds me of the Auto Union Type C Streamline from days of yore.
I wonder how well those could do in the marketplace if they had little electric motors in them? Weekend cruisers, I would think, so you wouldn't get creamed in traffic.
