SOC Tech Nite

Thanks to Desi 'Cabanaboy' and his lovely wife Becky for opening their shop for the inaugural SOC Tech Nite. Brad arrived fresh from driving his newly acquired VSPSTER (Troy M.) down from the Bay Area. Dan P. was styling as usual in his impeccable IM.

I spent most of the evening gawking at Desi's outrageous Outlaw - Desi scored big-time on this bad boy. Everybody's prepped for the Hotel Del C cruise this Saturday!

It looks like we are on to something, i plan on doing this once a month, thanks to all who showed, way cool to see some different flavor out there loooking foward to Del Hotel Coronado. Cabanaboy OUT!

I am SOOO mad at myself... I really wanted to go last night, but my DECK got in the way! LOL... Yes it's a BIG DECK too. Cabanaboy I have to see that SWEEEEEET outlaw you pocess! I was happy to see DAn made it too, and even Troy's second life our Newbie came by. I was hoping that Adrian was going to pop by too. Well Desi, next time I have to work on getting down there past the 5:00 pm traffic from LA. and YES I am STILL bringing Donuts! Thanks for posting the pix Brutha Jim!

I really wanted to make this but some last minute stuff came up that absolutely prevented me from being able to go. Looking forward to the next one though -- Jim, thanks for posting pics! Desi, your outlaw looks BAD ASS!!

what I'm thinking is maybe twice a month in the summer time and once a month when it get cooler?? with that said 7-27-06 is the day I'm looking at, that should give you plenty of time to get your other project done. Cabanaboy OUT!!

I will look at my calendar for the 27th, hopefully it's clear. Sorry I missed the Del trip, I was pretty sick. Thanks Desi for setting up a twice a month get together at your shop!!!!!!!!!!!! I would offer up the same, except I'm not sure anyone would want me to change there smile with implants. Looking forward.

Orale Homes... I hope your feeling better. From your notes around the time of the Del trip you sounded pretty wasted.. Well if you get a chance on the 27th let me know. Like I said maybe we can hook-up and take both tubs south-bound!

Thank you very much Desi & Becky for your hospitality. You guys are great for offering your shop for a meeting location. Sure was alot of fun talking to you all and check/working on our cars.

I can't wait for the Vintage Flavor Cruise on August 15th.

I enjoyed the shenanigans at Desi's Tech Nite - you guys kill me. Looking forward to the Tech-Nite/Sunset-Cruise to Laguna Beach.

BTW - after leaving Desi's shop and the traffic signal turned green, all I saw of your two Speedy's was tailights disappearing onto the fwy and BWAA...BWAAAAAAAA!!

OK, I have a super Mech that would like to come out and talk if you guys think its ok.. This guy is doing ALL the servicing on my Speedie, and it STILL doesn't drop a BIT of oil! TRUE, very TRUE.. His name is Gary and he is a very honest & reilable Mech. A true VW head from the 70's... he even comes out to your pad to do his wrenching. He has every VW tool that you could think of and some you can't! LOL.. here's my only problemo.. If we have the laguna run after tech night He'll have to come in his own ride because I'd like my wife to join me on that run to Laguna for dinner and the Sunset!
OK just talked to him... he already said "Cool" about driving out to Irvine... SO problem solved!
