After looking at the different SOC events held throughout this great country of ours (as well as globally)- I'd like to throw out the idea of an annual SOC Yearbook in addition to the SOC Calendar that's offered. I don't know if this has been suggested or attempted previously.
The premise would be for SOCers to submit pictures from the multiple SOC events througout the year (Paso, Carlilse, Cruises, etc.). These could be categorized in the yearbook by region or calendar occurrence. A calendar of events would be nice also. Maybe even sell advertising/sponsorhip space in the book? I think it would be cool to have (purchase) a booklet or binder or whatever for my coffee table to show friends or visitors, pictures of SOC events & members from around the world. A yearbook could be a way to placate those SOC members not chosen for the calendar with an avenue to showcase their rides. The booklet or binder could even have an insert on the cover for the SOC member to insert their favorite picture of their Speedy.
With the diverse membership of this website, I would imagine there is someone who could offer expert advise (and you know there's never a shortage of that on this site!) on publishers/printers, print methods/mediums, cost or the feasibility of such an endeavor.
