Went for a short cruise throught the neighborhood this afternoon to catch some rays and fresh air. Here is it in SoCal on December 2, 2006 - clear skies, 78 degrees (T-shirt weather), waving to the folks on the beach and honking at the girls in tank-tops - I'M LUVIN IT!!!

Here's a short clip - I was using my 'Malibu Barbie' camera, so the quality sucks. Also utilizing the one-handed-over-the-shoulder-behind-the-back-while-driving made for a shaky video.

Tune playing was 'Prince' - Musicology!

Peace - Out!

Rub it in, rub it in! I know SoCal has a lot going for it. Two weeks ago, I thought life around here was really good (the trip down around Dallas was "super"). This week, got a dose of reality and it's not so good. Temperatures below freezing and about 6" of the white stuff fell on the ground. Meanwhile, the lake has dried up... Darn, darn, darn...

By the way, I searched a couple of websites and found that the first car show in this area is going to be mid to late April - the SoCal folks have something going every weekend!

Oh so. cal.... warm.... Heading out to ride the bike right now. Its 27 degrees. The moon is huge and its so bright with the frost and moonlight that it looks like daylight not night.

Even when it is cold, I love riding the bike under the moonlight. I'll probably spend a little quality time in the hot tub when I get back in.

Jim - If I could tag along with Jim Ward, I would. Have too many bad habits to feed - cars, boats, one very forgiving spouse, and two daughters - one still in school and looking to continue in this role for a very long time AND haven't even started the weddings for either one, yet. (I know, no sympathy from you on the daughter side of things....) Seems like I'll be working for a very long time, but it's all worth it.
I was one of the smart (read it as "lucky") ones that got their boat out at the last minute. Even though I draw less than 5 feet, still had to drag the keel through several inches of mud and bottom debris in order to reach the hoist (and only minor fiberglass work needed over the winter months).

Cup holders are gimbaled - so we don't spill a drop of libation while the boat does it own thing......

Envious as all get out of you guys in SoCal - but dreams are what keeps some of us going. Some day I'll at least visit.
Gabe & Jim, you guys have to keep the rest of us sane. Cory, hit the nail on the head, there are quite a few of the SOC folks out of "business" for a while - although I think Angela has a bit more chutzpa than many of the rest of us (biking in 27 degree weather would give me cardiac arrest as opposed to an aerobic workout). Ernie has the idea, throw a log on the fire. Lambros got slammed with the same winter present we had here. Until the weather turns, all we can do is drool in our hot toddy AND live our dream through this site. Keep up the stories!
Sorry guys Drove in again today... Sweet out, just a bit chilly in the pm hours here.. but still awesome time to run... Gabe you crack me up with those pix. I have one of my Speedie from my office too. Just too freaking funny... I am looking over the San Gabiral mountians as we speak (Or type!) and this time of year ROCKS very clear too. Lets get together for an afternoon ride before the Holiday if possible. Or just a week night 'Tech" night out of someones garage or Bar-B-Que.. I'd be up for that too.
