SoCal Cruise to Mt Palomar...

That looks like a lot of fun.  We've been to Palomar but never in a 356.  Have fun.

OK, then, let's pencil in next Sat (07/20/13) for Mt Palomar cruise. Tentative trip sheet;

1. 10:00AM at Park & Ride parking lot on Hwy 76 & I-15 (next to Mobil Station).

2. Leave parking lot @ 10:30

3. Proceed East on Hwy 76 to South Grade Road.

4. Grade Road up Palomar Mountain towards observatory.

5. Rest stop at Palomar General Store

6. Proceed down East Grade Road to view point overlooking Henshaw Lake for lunch stop.

7. Destinations homeward approx 2:00PM.

Might have to break out my Speedster and get the fuel injection working good for this trip....... You know with the curves and all , well maybe some straight aways too.............

@Kevin - THAT would be awesome! Maybe someday we can coordinate a tour of your shop on one of our cruises...or maybe a Tech Nite, a thinly veiled term for 'guys-hanging-out-in-the-garage' ! 

I was going to say this time but I think that because how far south my shop is it maybe a little far for this and a Palomar cruise.... Maybe we can do a south San Diego cruise up the Coronado Strand and or maybe a Julian run... Julian is kind of like Palomar......

I'm in need of Dutch caramel apple pie with vanilla ice cream. Lets do it. We don't have to wait. I'm leaving work and heading up there now.

The weather forecast for Mt Palomar/Henshaw Lake cruise this Saturday is HOT & more HOT!!

Hate to cancel, but perhaps we postpone this Saturday cruise to another weekend, OR decide on a different rendezvous and route.

Food for thought, the 356 Registry is holding their annual Concourse D'Elegance at the Marriott in Dana Point on Sunday! This usually means BEAUCOUP Porsches at Cars & Coffee in Irvine on Saturday morning.

Not 8/10, Reno Hot August nights any other Saturday or Sunday is good
