Just getting around to posting pics from our cruise a couple of weeks ago (Click on pictures to enlarge).

...then drive up Mt. Palomar to observatory (another great day for a cruise)...

...then everyone was homeward bound!

It was a fun day catching up with fellow SOCers, cruising the mountain roads and viewing the Observatory telescope.

Keep an eye on the 'Events' thread for our next SoCal cruise in September. We will probably be hitting the Malibu Canyon and Mulholland Drive. See ya then!

Funny thought just hit me!

Post a thread on here with pics of SoCal SOCers driving their cars on various cruises, that post gets 4 or 5 responses.

Post a thread on here about what type of brakes, oil, gearing, what-engine-should-I-get, what-color-should-I-choose, manufacturer business models, you get 10+ pages of comments (<1 page on topic, >9 pages of drift).

This just struck me as a funny dynamic.

I guess I'll just go out for another ride.

Jim, that's because so many of us will read the story, look at the pics and think "they had a great time and what a great area for a drive!" but it's already been said. Otoh, we can (and will) debate the merits of different brakes, oil, gearing, and engine combinations 'till the cows come home! Doesn't mean we didn't enjoy the report on the cruise... Al

PS- love the pic of your car (and you) at speed!

Another PS- and all those pages of drift are part of what makes this crowd so interesting.
