WOW! I missed another good event. I'm going to have to start checking the forums more frequently again. The sheer number of beautiful Speedsters and great scenery in Southern California always astounds me. You guys should collect some photos of your cars and publish an All Southern California Speedster 2009 wall calendar (using Snapfish or Ofoto).

Micky, you crack me up... "Putting the car away" com-on bro... It's not even Nov yet.. LOL.. you gotta get out here my friend!

GERD.. nice hat Bro.. I truely missed an awsome ride.. but that's ok my boys did awesome at Mt. SAC.. Brando had personal best time and Dylan came in 14th and medaled out of 159 runners... 3 miles under 17:50, thats about 5:20 a mile going up and down the hills of Mt. Sac. I couldn't do 1 mile in that time!~ LOL...

Eddy sweet ride and I look forward to another ride soon... Jimbo, my Brutha from that Mutha... Nice ride Bro well done as expected! LOL..

Speedster "D" out but not forgotten... bummer.... :-(
LOL, I saw that pix, very cool 3-some.. LOL.. between the four of us I do not know if we would of fit into the frame of that shot! LOL... to be honest with you GERD I particularly liked the shot of you and Vince discussing your High School state rankings... 'were no. 1" That was too freaking funny.. and I saw the other angle shot too from Dave O'Brian too cool to get one shot at two differnet angles. I look forward to seeing you soon my friend..

Joe -

That black Ferrari you were driving through Malibu was SWEEEET, but that Aston Martin Vanquish your business partner was driving was frigging AWESOME (the wheel set-up on that car was off-the-hook). Do you have any other new cars in the fleet?

Hope you can join us sometime in the near future (we need someone who lugs a $hitload of extra parts to tag along). Keep an eye on the events thread!

I wanted to Thank everyone I met from the Malibu cruise for taking the time to talk to me about your wonderful rides. It's great to see such an enthusiastic group of owners who really love taking these cars to the streets. It's amazing how these tubs can really bring such a great group together. I hope be apart of it one day and cruise around town turning heads with the rest of you guys. Thanks to those who offered a ride-along. Next time perhaps.

Billy, thanks for the warm welcome and thumbs up on the new amazing ride. You have definitely found a wonderful posse of porsches here. The way you talk about your experience with Vintage, I am starting to get convinced that they are the ones to go with. Like you, being local would let me visit the shop during the short 3-week build time and harrass the builders day after day. When my time comes, expect an onslaught of questions about the start-to-finish journey to your new road baby. And to the rest of the group, I think you can all tell you're going to have a handful with Billy along side you guys. HaHaHa.

I'll continue to read up here and learn as much as can. I look forward to seeing you guys on the road around town. Keep an eye for the thumbs up from me. Thanks again.

Yo, Jerry....if you pull the trigger really soon, you can make the Dec. 6th trip with a new speedy...should be a fun one! I am sure VS will offer good pricing now as times are a bit slower. Email me direct and we can discuss it. "JJ Best" can finance them too...easy deal...JUST DO IT, LIFE IS NO FRICKIN' REHEARSAL!!!

Best-

Lane,

Yes I will be there too. I live near the SD airport but work in Carlsbad (near Will's house) and will drive down with Jim and Will, maybe Gerd if he makes it and any other SOC members who can make it.

This is where we are going, Old Town Mexican Cafe. copied by many, but there is only one Old Town Mex.

This place has been around for awhile and usually locals outnumber the tourists most of the time. It is an OMBAC hang also. (google over the line and OMBAC)
Cool place and even has the dreaded Mariachi's.

See ya Wed.

What an awesome photo!

I love old town and that place you're referring to... incredible food and margaritas. Enjoy it for all of us gentlemen.

And Jerry,

I recently bought my Spyder and love it. These cars are generally the most unique and dare I say Sexiest things on the road.

Dream as if you'll live forever; live as if you'll die tomorrow.

Life is short, have fun!

Best regards,

Scotty
