Anyone with experience with the 1835 Type I engine.Does the linkage run above or below the Generator/Alternator?Pictures would be very beneficial. In particular,I would be interested in finding someone who has the linkage set-up either behind the Fan-Shroud or below the Generator/Alternator.The reason I want to locate the linkage in either of these locations,is the installation of the original Porsche oil canister.

Kadron linkage, both stock and the (better) replacement linkage available from AJ, runs beneath the generator.

I'm in the middle of installing a genuine Porsche oil canister myself. The linkage wasn't as much of a problem as the coil turned out to be. Everything gets really close, but it all fits with a bit of work and planning . . . PLUS, nothing looks cooler than the Porsche canister with the FRAM decals. braided lines and Einlass sticker at inlet point.

SO SWEET!

Luck,

TC
