Actually nothing...looks like we stay at the same place as planned before...
Everyone, start making your reservation if you are planning on spending the night...Saturday night July 18th...Days Inn, Buelton..

Cool, Lili and I are still doing the day run and dashing back after the dinner... So if anyone of you So Cali guys and right seaters are willing... We are up for that evening drive home...

Well Lili and I are up for the Topanga Ranch Motel at 9:00am if I remember the time correctly...

Everything will be as before...I will copy it from the other thread and post it soon....

Solvang is about 30-45 minutes past Santa Barbara off the 101,
but there are other ways to get there. Santa Barbara is about 2 hours from L.A....
I would recommend the coast (hiway 1) from the Topanga Ranch motel
as we do for Morro Bay and then on to Las Posas rd to the 101 to pick up any Valley cars,
101 to Santa Barbara and then Canyons around Solvang....
I don't think we should leave later than 10:00 from Topanga location so lets say we meet at the motel
at 9:45....Jim can gather the O.C. cars and meet me at the Starbucks corner Artesia/Hawthorne S/E corner
8:45-9:00 or he can take his group directly to the motel and I will meet up there with whomever comes to my Starbucks....

A decision can be made prior to leaving the Topanga Ranch Motel as to which route to take in Santa Barbara,
keeping in mind the construction on the 154....


I will be holding a Poker Run in conjunction with the days activities, and giving cards out at various locations
winner to be decided at last winery of the day...there will be a boy prize and a girl prize, that I will supply,
if you wish to bring a prize you may do so, and winners can pick from the pile....

Lunch is planned once we arrive in Solvang, but a location has not been decided at this time. I think it would
be nice to find a place that can seat us all, but that may not be possible, any suggestions will be appreciated.
I think there was a place near the 101 freeway at the Solvang exit that could handle us, but my mamory is trashed
as to it's name... Maybe it's the Hitching Post that LeeAnn mentioned, Perhaps if someone will be there Friday,
they can find a suitable lunch spot..or Dinner for that matter.
So I guess I'm saying the lunch/Dinner issue has not been resolved at this time....A.J. Spurs was also recommended and may be a good dinner spot.....

No body has recommended any wineries, so I plan on looking at a map and choosing three that I am fimiliar with, one that has a tour that we may take...right now I am thinking Fess Parker and Firestone as two of the ones that are up-scale...

So, the 18th it is. Is there anything I can do to help make this happen? Or, is my wonderful presence enough for everyone?

Nothing to plan really, Teri will make dinner reservations at the same place we were planning on going in the first place. I will need a head count next week. I believe the firestone winery is the one with the tour, and I am planning Fess Parker also, a third can be somewhere along the way....
if your staying over night it's the same as before, and the only thing up in the air is possibly lunch at someplace or places but not for a long period of time...If you have a lunch suggestion, lets hear it...other than that it's pretty much laid back....
I plan on heading back home mid day, so we can plan breakfast somewhere in Solvang perhaps....

Autopsy results are in, MJ died of food poisioning, they figure it was from eating 8 year old wieners.

Lili and I are ready for next weekend and meeting at Topanga Ranch Motel at 9:30 am leaving by 10:00 am.... We will also be headed back that evening too! Anyone interested in car pooling back down let me know so we can coordinate that run after dinner too!
