This sounds like a good group headed up... Looking forward to seeing everyone at Topanga Motel at 9:30 am on Saturday. Oh hey Lili and I FINALLY picked up an ole samsonite piece of luggage for Speedie. I added Dusty's stickers he sent me and we now have a complete looking tub! LOL... Jennifer if you guys want to head back after dinner I think we should have a nice little group for that drive south...

Once again as a reminder, I will be leaving the Starbucks (Artesia/Hawthorne) no later than 9:00....Taking the 405N to the 10W
to Hiway 1 North to the Topanga Ranch Motel, we will leave the Motel no later than 10:00, I'm thinking about taking the 154 out of Santa Barbara and into the backside of Solvang......I will have the winery schedule for everyone at the motel.....Lunch will be wherever we decide as a group when we get hungry, but I suggest we eat before the wine tasting....
Dinner reservations is at AJ Spurs at 5:30
Poker cards will be dispersed starting at the motel and ending either at the last winery or at dinner location, depending on when the group decides to leave towards the end of the run.
I have a Boy prize and a Lady prize, anyone who would like to donate a prize is welcome, they will be winners choice....
We will be going to the Fess Parker Winery, if you go to their web site they have free passes that you can print out...normally 10.00 each for tasting, but you get to keep the glass (engraved) but the free pass no glass to keep....
We will also be going to the Firestone winery...

temperature forecast calls for 97+ degrees with a UV index of 12. BTW, a UV Index of 10+ presents 'extreme' risk of harm from unprotected sun exposure!
As much as I love cruising in our Speedy, I have a greater desire to avoid Heat Stroke from driving a top-down car with no air conditioner. Sooooo, Ginny & I will be driving our 'other' car for this event. I know, I know, I may be a puss about killer heat, but we're going for the comraderie, and not a visit to the Emergency Room.
We will tote a large cooler with plenty of iced drinks for you heartier souls (to bring your body core temperature down to a level that's compatible with life).
...I'm just saying...
We'll see you in Malibu Saturday morning!
P.S. - bummer, because our Speedy would have reached another milestone on this trip. The odometer would have turned over 100,000+ Kilometers (62,000+ miles) on this drive to Los Olivos.

Gerd - From Topanga Canyon, turn left on PCH and go about 20 miles. If you miss it, don't worry, just turn around and try the other way. Those guys don't want to travel with you anyway.
