Gerd: Turn Right on PCH. It's about 100 feet beyond the Reel Inn (a fish restaurant). They may have bulldozed the motel but the Real Inn should still be there.

I tried to make a hole in my summer schedule for a quick trip to join you folks. One half my family were pioneers in Solvang, seriously they arrived in 1911.

May I recommend the (Vince pay attention) pickled herring at the Little Mermaid restaurant.

We just got home. Great day for a cruze, I look like a racoon from all the sun. Nice to see some of you today. Not into wine so Eddy, Rhonda and I just explored Los Alivos,Santa Inez and Solvang.Ate some ice cream and root beer floats. Sorry we missed all the fun with the "Wedding Crashers" and uncle Tom Irvine from Colorado.

It was great seeing the gang again. Karen and I had a great time. We welcome new member Scott and Marlene Cramer. They fit right in with all these all these misfits. I think they enjoyed the group. The wine tasting was fun, but the wedding was a real hoot. When we got to the Fess Parker winery, they were having a wedding and we had some fun with uncle (of the bride) Tom from Irvine/Colorado and the bride's maids. Can't wait until the pictures are posted. We were civil but did have fun.

I joined the Goldilocks Run at the Topanga Ranch Motel and drove the stretch from the motel up Pacific Coast Highway to Las Posas Road and the 101 Freeway where I headed back to the San Fernando Valley to perform previously scheduled "honey-do's" (honey do this, honey do that). I shot a brief video-clip of a bit of the ride. It's posted at You Tube now, and if the attachment gizmo works (below)you should be able to watch the video-clip.

It looks like you all had a great time. The LMS and I are jealous. Wish we could have been there.

Glad to hear most of the gang from the south got home okay!! Marlene and I had a great time and are looking forward to the next get together. As for Vince, Gerd and Jim, I think the craziness may have rubbed off (Marlene isn't herself today ;). Couldn't wait till I got back to Colorado, so I joined the group here in Solvang. The wedding was great, scored with two of the bridesmaids after the reception, they kept calling me Uncle Tom from Boulder Colorado, or should I say yelling my name, if you know what I mean...I think you guys started something here....
