I know most of the speedsterowners don't enjoy car shows and would really prefer to drive your speedsters rather than attend car shows (hence the boycott of the Knott's Berry Farm show). But, it occurs to me that the Friends of Steve McQueen Car Show in Chino Hills, CA might be a good substitute for the (cancelled) Solvang Run. (See EVENTS FORUM entry for details on the Friends of Steve McQueen Car Show 6/6/09)
The Weather Channel webpage forecasts a less than 10% chance of rain for Saturday, and I'd guess that most of that precipitation will fall in the coastal areas and that precipitation will probably be brief like most Southern California spring rainstorms. Chino Hills is inland, do a google map search.

Both dates are cool with me for now, I just hope no more of my buddy's pass away in the next month! DAMN....
What a bummer, I'll be out for most of July. Going to Alaska from the 11th through the 25th. Hope you all have a great time. Should have a lot of sunshine by then.

The hotel that we stayed at in Solvang is much higher priced for that weekend, $199 per night. I guess we are back to square one.
