I've been associated with SOC since around the first Carlisle gathering, where we came together as a group of strangers who were already good friends. Most of us had never met; yet, it was like a family reunion, and many of our wives/partners could not believe the warmth with which we greeted each other.
Since then, I have wandered away from here a couple of times, but always come back, as certain members here are stellar individuals, and are guys that I call the best of friends.
Today, a SOC member did a gesture - perhaps minor to some - that means a lot to me. He knows who he is, and I want to tell him how much I value his friendship.
I'm looking forward to Carlisle 2017 to thank him in person.
