very pretty car!
That colour ROCKS, Chris....somewhat subtle, but very refined and very appropriate.
I really like that, Chris. Subtle. Very, very cool.
What a beaut, more pics!
It's all down hill from here.
Thanks guys.... Henry told me yesterday i am looking at about 4 weeks. May take delivery in Tacoma Washington.... I am toying with the idea of flying out there with my retired father so we can lay eyes on the new ride..... Then we would drive it down the coast to San Francisco...... I would ship it back home from there..... I think that would be a blast if I can make it work with work and all.....Can't say enough about Henry and Robert from Intermeccanica. They have been a pleasure to deal with!
Looks great I really like the colour - will look expensive Just sitting there..
what interior colours?
Go on drive home. I did it....
google - Route 66 kitcar GT40
If you can do it in a GT40 a Speedster would be heaven..
You got that right, Bernie....here's the proof...http://s1224.beta.photobucket.com/user/beezered1/library/?fromLegacy=true#/user/beezered1/library/?fromLegacy=true&_suid=136105111319007153293111826111
It's a very dangerous proposition shipping a car all the way across the country. I'd recommend you find an experienced driver get it home for you..... :-)
Ya know David, one of these days your persistence will pay off and someone will take you up on this.
I hear ya, Laner. I've got my eye on that nice IM for sale out West. $60K approx. Hoping here that an East Coaster can afford it and needs to get it home in the Springtime. My day reputation is impeccable....after six PM...not so much, eh?
David,
loved the link to you pictures. Don't know if you found the ......Kit car GT40 route 66 story. I need together my grandson who is five to link it for me. He programs the video etc..
the trip you did looked sensational. I would love to do it in my Cobra!! Will send you a PM in the Dialog...
cheers..
Chris: If you are driving that around the area, particularly in Grafton, someone might approach you and ask if that is "Chip Bicknell's old car". Chip is from Grafton and a friend of my brother and had a dove gray cabriolet which he regularly drove back and forth to Alaska for about 20 years after moving there permanently sometime in the 1970's. His folks and sister remained in Grafton and, in fact, I just saw Chipper at the Grafton Dunkies around Christmas when he and Sandy came East to visit (This time in their 4WD Suburban).
Gray on a Speedster was pretty then, and remains so, now......
