You know with the right paint I think I'd like that.
I think it will look good on my blk flared fender outlaw. And the venting right to the carbs
Bill, didn't Rod Emory outlaw P builder do that on one of his cars? It does look pretty cool and might be able to funnel more air if it had louvers like Rod's car I would think...
Alan I like that grill too.
just my 2₪ (sheckels)
Yes. Rod did this on his black coupe. he also cut down and re shaped the rear quarter windows and brought the top of the b pillar forward a few inches. He runs Bleivens or Techno's on that same car. Because of the stance he wanted on the car he also reshaped and raised the wheel arches 2" front and rear. He wanted the stance super low but didn't want the super tucked wheels / slammed look. Over all, you don't notice how aggressive that car is until you really take it all in.
Naturally - I approve.

The black coupe is Da Bomb!
I think I'm the only guy in 356-dom that doesn't care for the black Emory coupe. Everything Rod did to "improve" the lines leave me really, really flat. However, I don't mind the 550-style louvers on the rear fenders on either the speedster or the coupe.
I really like the fuel-fill door on the front right fender in the speedster.
To my mind's eye, this coupe pulls harder on my heartstrings than the black one:
If you look it does not have the traditional door with window metal edge, but it has roadster doors with windows that go into the coupe roof edge rubber similar to a hardtop two door of the American world. nice motor
I understand what's going on with the glass, Ray, but it's the entire greenhouse that's wrong to me (glass included). Rod has built some amazing cars, but this one doesn't do it for me. This one does:
I like the silver one the best of the three.
Marty - That's because Rod Emory used a silver paint that looks like poured-on Mercury. What a gorgeous finish! Look at the door - that reflection is straight!
Looks like the top was chopped, too - gives it a much meaner stance.
I also love how the picture was composed in the middle of a bunch of street donuts.

Yep. That paint is amazing.
It is actually or looks like P GT silver but the photo has been photoshopped for gleam and shine so it looks like liquid metal
I've never seen it in person (obviously), but the pictures littered all over the net all looks the same (astounding).
I really like the wheels and rear window treatment on the blue one.
I thought I read somewhere that Rod calls that silver paint, Liquid Chrome. I believe it is P GT Silver with a black base coat with the silver over the top. Or maybe I'm smoking something now that California has legalized pot.
On some of the coupes Rod has talked about how he likes to remove the drip rails and that could be adding to the super clean look.
Speaking of paint samples if you goto a P dealer they have very large Sheet Metal paint samples to show their colours to you, not the small stuff like at a house paint store.

Is someone making those panels/vents for sale? some I've seen had a hinge on top and a zuess on the bottom and were made of aluminum.
Yes, I am currently in contact and will share once I have all the info. Stay tuned!
