You were crazy to sell that one!!!! What would be funny about the replica corvette is that the pursist couldn't complain about it being made out of fiberglass.

I saw a mercedes gullwing the other day in Scottsdale and it was absoulutely beautiful. I think it might have been a replica, but in Scottsdale at the private jet location you never know? I wanted to ask him so bad if it was a replica, but couldn't figure out how to do it without sounding like one of the people who pester us all the time and are trying to get in a dig by asking. What he couldn't and wouldn't know is that I would be more interested if it had been a replica.
I bought it seven years ago from Lance Motors (Replica dealer in NJ)and drove it to my then NJ home. Had a ball finishing the interior, top, fabricating side curtains and motor upgrades while listening to all my "Oldies tapes"
Motor and header heat would cook the occupants, rode hard as can be
(poor rear suspension design) Bias ply tires were a driver's nightmare on the interstates ...but neverless, an eye catcher.
I sold it six years ago at "Corvettes At Carlisle" where I thought a replica would be frowned on.
It created lots of attenton on the first two days but nothing serious.
On Sunday a 'Vette dealer said ...
" When in doubt raise the price a few "k" ...I did, selling in an hour !
